@01:35Normally, I use cardstock, just because the paper stands up better and doesn't curl as much after time.

@07:40I usually lay a layer of watercolors down first and then shade it with colored pencil-- and for these ones I put a layer of acrylic varnish over them to make them smudge-proof. :)
